Dare to dream a place where a diversity of women from different cultures and faiths can meet and share their experiences.

The YWCA (Young Women's Christian Association) is an ecumenical membership movement for women and girls. In Finland, the national association comprises 25 associations in 22 locations. Internationally, the YWCA represents 25 million women and children in over 120 countries.

Inspired by Christian faiths, the purpose of the YWCA is to develop the leadership and collective power of women and girls to achieve human rights, health, security, freedom, justice and peace for all people.

The history of the YWCA dates back to the 1850s, when the first associations were instituted in England. Established in 1894, the World YWCA serves as an umbrella organization for the national parent organizations.

The YWCA strives to empower women and girls through education and training, development programs, small-scale loans, and income-generating projects, as well as violence prevention and work against trafficking in women. An essential part of the YWCA's work is to train women for leadership and social justice.

Dare to dream a chance to break the everyday routine and take a breath, a chance to retreat to the peace and quiet of nature, a chance to engage in diverse interests and learn something new.

The YWCA of Finland was established in 1896. The local YWCAs provide a wide range of programs and services, from practical courses to hobby circles and religious events to social work. Services are directed at a diverse variety of groups, such as immigrants and refugees, families with small children, students, and senior citizens.
